Cooperation with Kosovo Credit Guarantee Fund - Economic Recovery Package

ECONOMIC RECOVERY PACKAGE

Like in every country in the world, as well as in our country, the COVID-19 pandemic has had a negative impact on the country’s economy, causing a decrease in the liquidity of Small, Medium and Micro Enterprises (SMEs) despite the activity.

Of course, this has first affected activities which due to the pandemic have been forced to work at reduced capacity or shut down altogether.In response to the pandemic situation from COVID-19, the Government of Kosovo (GoK) has approved the Economic Recovery Package, one of the measures of which is to ensure financial liquidity through the guarantee scheme of the Kosovo Credit Guarantee Fund (KCGF).

Such a measure will play an important role in the recovery of our country’s economy.Restoring confidence in the banking sector in order to avoid the credit crunch that would subsequently lead to a lack of liquidity in the market has been identified as one of the fronts that KCGF would have to fight, during and after the COVID crisis.

 PURPOSE OF RECOVERY PACKAGE WINDOWSAccess to finance for enterprises affected by the crisis as well as enterprises of strategic importance for the economy of the Republic of Kosovo.Increased liquidity for MSMEs.FINAL BENEFICIARIESAddressing the Economic Recovery Package is done through the creation of guarantee windows for certain sectors and segments affected by the crisis caused by COVID-19.
